Elena Abend, Pianist; Orlando Pimentel, Clarinetist

Regents Theatre at Holy Names University, Oakland CA

Husband and wife duo Orlando Pimentel and Elena Abend are both from Caracas, Venezuela and are well-known chamber musicians in Venezuela and the United States. She performs with the Fine Arts Quartet, the Ravinia and Marlboro Music Festivals among others. He began his music in Venezuela’s music program “El Sistema” and performed regularly with the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra before moving to the US and performing with orchestras around the country.

Astrid Schween is an internationally recognized soloist, chamber artist, and teacher. This season marks her second year with the Juilliard String Quartet; in 2016, she succeeded Joel Krosnick as cellist of the Quartet and joined the Juilliard cello faculty.

“W. Hazaiah Williams Memorial Concert” - THE PACIFIC EDGE VOICES - Dr. Lynne Morrow, Music Director

The Rev. Dr. W. Hazaiah Williams was the Founder of Four Seasons Arts and the first African-American impresario of a major classical music concert series. He directed the program from its inception in 1958 until 1999.
