Music in the Schools

For many years, the Four Seasons Arts “Music in the Schools” program has collaborated with local public schools. While artists are in town for their formal concerts, Four Seasons staff arrange for them to visit elementary or middle schools. The artists provide lecture/demonstrations that explain what a career in classical music entails, share early experiences that inspired them, and perform samples of classical music. These events are often the children’s sole contact with professional artists and with the classical music performance world. Music in the Schools enlarges students’ world view and fosters their appreciation and ownership of the Arts. . . . We are thrilled to be able to offer this enhancement to young people in our community.
